WELCOME

Welcome to the 2 Meranti Blog, Magnificent 36. Yeah! blog, the hottest thing to hit pop culture since Jennifer Anniston's Friends haircut.

Here, the 36 students of the 2 Meranti class ( Class of 2008 ) offer their thoughts on happenings in school and off school. It's a great way to keep up-to-date.

In the beginning, blogging was relegated to techie types or ubergeeks but now blogging has become one of the biggest, fastest-growing trends around. We mean big. Bigger than Paris Hilton's sunglasses - and that is BIG. So fellow Merantians...your thoughts and views are welcome here.

But before we get the ball rolling, some ground rules:-

1. No vulgarities;
2. No political views;
3. No religious views;
4. No dissing the school, teachers, friends or foes alike.

Please note that each student is responsible for his/her own blog entry/posting. Anonymous blog entries/postings will be rejected. Blog entries/postings can either be in Bahasa Malaysia or English but do remember to keep your postings blog friendly.

The administrators of this blog i.e. Choong Pauline, Gwen Lee, Lee Yu Kit and Sara Wong reserve the right to change, edit posts as and when deemed fit.

Peace out.

Mother's Day

Hello again our dear fans! This is the second post of the day. (The same day as the previous post.)

People, people.. Mother's Day is this Sunday!! gosh.. Time just passes by so fast! In a few more weeks, the Teacher's day will be held as well as Father's day!

However, have you gotten anything for your mothers yet? Well, I have to admit though.. I and my fellow friends haven't got anything for them yet.. Do you have any suggestions for us? Please say you do.. Lol..

Fortunately, we do have some suggestions.. BUT...... It is rather lame.. Below is the list of suggestions we have.. Which is quite common..

-Flowers
-Card
-Cake
-Perfume
-Accesories
-Jewelleries
-etc. etc.

So, if any of our dear viewers have any suggestions, please comment on this post.. Or else.. Please feel free to post it in our Cbox! I guess this is all.. And before we end.. We just want to say to all of you..

Treasure your mothers as much as you love your favourite things and also thank them for every scoldings and lectures you get from them as they do it for your own good! Bear that in mind folks! lol..

And below is also a poem for our dear mothers entitled....

'Before I Was Myself, You Made Me, Me'

Before I was myself you made me, me
With love and patience, discipline and tears,
Then bit by bit stepped back to set me free,

Allowing me to sail upon my sea,
Though well within the headlands of your fears.
Before I was myself you made me, me

With dreams enough of what I was to be
And hopes that would be sculpted by the years,
Then bit by bit stepped back to set me free,

Relinquishing your powers gradually
To let me shape myself among my peers.
Before I was myself you made me, me,

And being good and wise, you gracefully
As dancers when the last sweet cadence nears
Bit by bit stepped back to set me free.

For love inspires learning naturally:
The mind assents to what the heart reveres.
And so it was through love you made me, me
By slowly stepping back to set me free.

THANK YOU MOM, WE LOVE YOU!! xoxoxo.

Peace out.

Under the Meranti Tree,
Choong Pauline and Gwen.
